Early detection is the
best protection
Trapped water invites roof failure. If your commercial roof has typical construction and has leaked in the past, there are probably areas of water-saturated insulation underneath it.
Through our infrared moisture analysis, we can identify those areas, and make repairs that could save the cost and inconvenience of tearing off the entire existing roof. Our infrared scans are performed in accordance with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
In this photo (above) the existing built up roof has been removed, exposing an area of wet insulation. Pre-existing water-saturated insulation should be removed prior to re-roofing to prevent future costly water problems and ensure the life of a new roof.
This is a photo (above) that was taken through the Infrared scanner of an area of wet insulation, indicated by the bright red shape. Chaffee’s Infrared Moisture Survey makes it possible to identify and remove water-saturated insulation on a spot basis. Typically, less than 10 percent of a roof’s total area needs to be removed.

TPO Roof Membranes
TPO Roof Membranes utilize seams that are fused together using hot air, at approximately 1,000 degrees. Other roof membrane systems rely on double-sided taped seams.
