Chaffee Roofing: the first hundred years
At Chaffee Roofing, we’re very proud of our longevity and appreciative of the confidence and trust so many people have put in us over the years. While materials, technology, and other parts of our industry have changed, our dedication to providing quality workmanship, personal service, and long lasting value hasn’t. Here are some of the more notable points in our history.
In 2008 we celebrated our 100th anniversary.
Toys R Us, Swansea, Mass
Toys R Us, Swansea, Mass. Extensive steel deck replacement completed at night to avoid inconvenience to shoppers. Daytime work included installation of new insulation and new black EPDM roof membrane.
WPRI Channel 12 broadcast studio.
WPRI Channel 12 broadcast studio. New insulation and TPO roof membrane were installed; work was coordinated around TV broadcast schedules.
Stanley’s Boat Yard
Stanley's Boat Yard, Barrington, RI. Fully adhered EPDM membrane over new rigid insulation. Roof was a double barrel configuration.
Hodges Badge Co, Portsmouth RI
Mechanically fastened TPO membrane roofing system over new rigid insulation over a pre engineered metal roof. Photo taken as project was in its final wrap up / close out phase.
Newport Grand Jai Alai
Newport Grand Jai Alai. Chaffee crews reroofed main building using new insulation and beige colored TPO roof membrane to match design of building.

Swimex, Fall River, MA
New mechanically fastened TPO membrane over new rigid insulation over a pre-engineered metal roof. Older metal roofs on pre-engineered metal buildings can be easily converted to modern, energy saving white membrane roofs, with long-term warranties.
Hodges Badge Co, Portsmouth, RI

Eastbrook Mall, CT
Eastbrook Mall, CT. Complete removal of all existing roofing, added new insulation and new mechanically fastened TPO membrane. Job was in progress 24 hours a day.
